Questions
1. Who’s your number 1 horse, how old and how long have you had him?
Pirralilla Party-Time (Sham) 21 years old. I have had her for about 3.5 years. She is great for dressage. In January this year I got another pony Marena Flash Folly (Dolly) 15 years old, and she is number one for jumping and cross-country.

2. What do you love most about riding horses?
Having fun and meeting many new friends. My horses are also my friends because they look after me when I am riding them.

3. What’s your worst habit.... what do you have to concentrate on most while riding?
I pull with my right rein when turning left to keep my balance. I also lean into the inside of the circle.

4. What is it about Rebels’ clinics that you enjoy so much?
Rebel is a great teacher to learn from because she is safe and always believes that I can do whatever she asks me to do. She has taught me to jump which I love to do.

Rebel on Georgie

I was fortunate enough to coach Georgie over first cross country at Calliope Pony Club grounds.
She walks up to me and announces her excitement about going cross country training, as she has never jumped cross country before. I replied, to my brave student, “Well you’re in luck little monkey, as I’m the safest cross country teacher in the world, you’re going to be just fine”.

At the completion of a successful session of jumping off banks, over ditches, in and out of water ..... Up trots Georgie beside me (pony and rider only a little above my eye level) and she says to me... “You were right, you are the safest cross country teacher in the world”. And with that, the NOD of approval and off she trots to catch up with her friends.

How sweet it is, to get the nod, the approval that you’ve done a good job, from an 8 year old that has no fear, when she feels she is in safe hands.

Keep up the good work little monkey, you’re an inspiration to teach.
