Watagan Grange NSW Eventing Clinic
February 13th and 14th 2010
After Rebels long drive down from QLD on the friday, saturday saw us kick of with new riders Roz Forsyth and Son Jackson. Roz and Jack first had a lesson with Rebel a couple of years ago and decided to return on new horses and give Watagan's Cross Country Course a go. We were thrilled to see Jackson and Roz take on cross country course with such enthusiasm and willingness that it was decided that they would regularly come to Rebels and Vicki's clinics as both horses (and riders) got so much out of the day (we even heard a rumor that was later confirmed that Husband "John" will be taking on a western clinic with Vicki soon, we look forward to meeting you).
Feedback Via Email from Roz:
"We both had a lot of fun and did things that challenged us. Rebel is just the best! I can see us spending more and more time out there. Vicky has a beautiful place."
On Sunday we had lots of familiar faces return, the day kicked of with the Annis Brown Family having a 2 hour private lesson. Daughters Laura and Bronte and Mother Simone, took on some of the larger new XC jumps, and it was agreed that this family has some amazing talent, we hope to see you back soon as our XC course develops with more challenging jumps in the future.

(NOTE: MUM WAS RIDING IN THIS CLINIC, SO NO PICS)
Next was the Boxell girls, Lauren and Courtney have been regular faces at Watagan for a while, and again it was great to see them back, usually their mother Debra is out there giving it a go, but this time decided to be the groom for the day (maybe it had something to do with the size of the jumps this time..hey Deb?). These girls have come along way and their smiles confirmed to us that they enjoyed their lesson time with Rebel, they are always a delight to teach!

LAUREN (LEFT) AND COURTNEY (RIGHT) SHOW THEIR TALENT FOR SHOWJUMPING
Feedback VIA e-mail from Debra:
"Thanks to Rebel Morrow's facilities and instruction our kids confidence and abilities have grown, we always look forward to then next clinic and encourage all horse enthusiasts to give it a go.
Summer Bolten and Molly Callaghan were next, WOW, haven't these 2 girls grown up. Both girls started coming to us 2 years ago and they have gone from little girls on ponies to serious competitors on amazing horses. Summer's Mum Tanya, told us that Summer's horse on the day had been dragged out of a paddock after a 3 year rest and they were amazed at how well he could show jump. Both girls concentrated on grid patterns for the day, and announced that they are hitting the show jumping circuit in 2010, we wish them the very best.

SUMMER TAKING ON THE SHOWJUMPS WITH FREDDY!
Feedback Via E-mail from Summer:
"I always have a great time at Rebels. She is so much fun, gives me so such
confidence & gets me to do things that my Mum won't let me do at home!"

MOLLY AND MONTE!
Feedback Via E-mail from Kerri (Molly's Mum):
"Molly & Monty focused on jumping grids in this lesson which helped improved Molly's balance over a higher jump. It's great to consolidate what the kids have learnt at Pony Club with a more personalized lesson from Rebel. She has a great attitude with the younger riders and manages to impart knowledge whilst keeping them entertained, not an easy task!!!"
Next were Ann Murray and Daughter Hannah with a private lesson on the newer more advanced XC jumps that were completed recently. It was a delight to watch these two go around, we loved watching our new jumps being used and agreed that Anne and Hannah will be some serious
competition for other riders in 2010.
Feedback Via E-mail from Ann:
"Thanks for a professionally organized clinic!
"The one-on -one coaching by Rebel for our horse and rider combinations was brilliant!
We tried out all of Waynes new XC jumps and finished on a positive note."
One familiar combination that is now part of our furniture here at Watagan Grange is Aneka Adams and her lovely horse Crosby. Aneka first started having lessons with both Vicki and Rebel a couple of years ago. Her commitment to her horse shines through in every lesson, and she always returns to better her self as a rider. This clinic Aneka concentrated mainly on her Dressage and the improvement was very much noted by all that have seen Aneka and Crosby at previous clinics.
Well done to you both and we know we will see you soon again.

ANEKA GIVING THE SHOW JUMPS A GO WITH CROSBY
Feedback Via E-mail from Aneka:
"My private lesson with Rebel was so good she really tided Crosby and I up for this years Dressage and Hacking that we will be competing in this year , great tips on horses that are noise sensitive, and working though nice neat transitions and lateral work, was very tied after my one hour private. Looking forward to my next lesson with Rebel!"
