Maryborough Clinic
November the 28th and 29th November 2009

Oh my God, was it so damm HOT!! I arrived in Maryborough about 7.30am, didn't seem to hot them.....my 1st lesson started at 8am. It seemed real bad then, hot...so damm hot!!
Lucky 4 me, the riders and horses, theXC course is 75% shaded by trees. I think I drank a truck load of water for sure!
Besides the extra hot QLD weather that weekend, the clinic was a success. All horses and riders left confident and happy. I think there was only one fall, but that came from a over joyed young horse after putting in a bigger jump than was needed. Jackie Hanslo jumped to her feet as quickly as she was dismounted, then off into the distance she ran, after her gorgeous grey horse, on his way back to the stables.
I was able to stretch Marianne Bonnett's comfort zone yet once again. She entered the lesson informing me that she was happy to jump the intro fences, I think we managed 3 or 4 Pre Novice fences and all the Prelim ones were just to damm easy!
It was good to see my regular crew attend,. Chole Stephens, Sam Wearing-Smith, Paris Aver, Trish Rothsey, Karen Morgan and Jade Doyle.
There were a few new faces included, Eliane Campbell, Maddie Evans, Molly Kroning, Tegan Dennien, Jess and Sue Brady.
I have to mention one horse and rider that stood out in the crowd, Jaclyn Hilly and her little mare. I have taught this combination once before and I was impressed then, but this time I was blown away. The mare has huge potential and Jaclyn is a top jockey. I am very excited for them both.
Thanks again to all that attended. See you guys all next year. Trish Rothsey mentioned organizing clinics on the Sunshine Coast, so will keep you all posted.
