Another Weekend at Hervey Bay!

My first clinic for the new season of 2209 was a success. There were no tears, no falls, no broken bones. I did not have to tell anyone off. no one complained about me......Alot of water was drunk, a lot of sweet was lost, from both horse and rider....and myself.....I MIGHT ADD!!

Here is a glimpse into the life of an instructor, and the endless complaints we get to here!

1st Day- WITHOUT FAIL!

Student:

" My horse is too strong"

"My Horse falls in or out on the circle"

"My horse does not put his head down"

Coach

" OK, well this is what we are going to do, Iam going to teach you how to ride that steed instead of sitting there looking at the view and whinging about it at the same time!"

2nd Day- WITHOUT FAILhervey bay 1

Student:

"My legs are so sore:

"My shoulders hurt"

"Iam so tired"

"Its hard to keep my horse forward..blah, blah, blah, blah"

Coach

"He he he he he he he, so you think Iam the only one out here, working hard, doing it tough in the hot humid sun all day......do ya.......think again!"

I have nothing better than to hear the complaints about exhaustion, pained muscles...I love to see there little faces turn red, as I yell at them!

"Forward, more legs, forward, come on, put the effort in, do the hard yards!"

"Are you tired yet? Have you got a stitch?"

"yes"

"Good, keep going, he he he he he"hervey bay 2

My words of wisdom, "No pain, no gain!"

I always enjoy my weekend at Hervey Bay, Friday night I get entertained by the colorful Roo Girls, Dezi and Bear while sipping champagne with Lyndal.

Iam allowed to sleep in Saturday morning until 6.45am, than get my own personal escort (Tallish, dark and very handsome) Max Roos, to take me to Dundowran Equestrian Grounds ready for the 1st Victim at 7am sharp.

After working a full day, meeting new and fantastic kids, we finish at 4pm and now that Iam an official Caldron as the Killdeers do....4 o'clock is beer o'clock, Landlordly your work! Then Iam fortunate enough to spend a night at Point Vern en, with one of my bestest mates and her partner, from when we were kids. Tina Boss and myself were inseparable, as we rode and competed together all our schooling life.

Than back to work for day two, with kids and horses and a a little tired, but still keen as mustard to learn. Once again we pull off a 7am till 4pm training day.

Good job everyone, the weekend was a success, Eden Black stood out in the crowd and this clinic, she has improved out of sight. Her and horse looked fantastic!!!

Thanks again Lyndal Roos for organizing and running another great weekend for us all. See you guys all again in Feb.

Cheers
