SUPER CLINIC AT CALLIOPE: 13,14 & 15th June

Kerrod Smyth sent out the invitation to Calliope Pony Club to host a Rebel Morrow Clinic at their grounds. This was a great venue, I had a perfect dressage arena set out, complete with letters. The showjump course was designed and built by two of the experienced riders, Courtney Hallinan and Regan O’Grady and the Cross Country course has plenty of variety and is technical enough to test the riders.

The weather was a treat for us, a bit chilly in the mornings until around 9 or 10am (for me), but the days beautiful and warm. Calliope attracted new students, with some travelling five or six hours to attend but I’m sure it was a worthwhile weekend. Splendid weather, perfect going, great facilities and equipment and an expert coach to top it all off.

A big thank you to Desley O’Grady for putting me up at the ‘Hilton’ on their hill. It was complete with an electric blanket, spa bath, red wine, cheese and biscuits, ‘Muffy’ the dog and great company from the O’Grady family.

Kerrod did offer that I could camp in the float with Glenoa, the kids and a heater, but the offer at the Hilton was too good to pass up.

Also a big thank you to the ladies of Calliope Pony Club for feeding me so well. If I wasn’t teaching I was made to sit, eat and drink, mothers always know how to look after you.
Congratulations Kerrod, another successful clinic, I am pretty sure that everyone went home tired and happy, that included me.

Looking forward to the next clinic.
Cheers,
Rebel
